Welcome homeElder Gubler!

Shandon has been a great friend to Geoff. He just came home from his mission in Lima Peru. It was so fun to see him and hear about his mission. I am grateful for good friends. We all love Shandon and his family.

Fun at the cabin!

Jason is so fun. He let us cover him in the snow.
You love my glasses.
Jessie and Stacy
Carlie and Jessie

So I said let it SNOW! And it did. On Christmas night it snowed about 2 feet (that is 24 inches!) Wow was it ever beautiful. We had so much fun. The snow was not that great so we didn't make a snowman. Maybe next time. Stacy came up Friday morning and stay until Sunday. Jessie and Jason made it safe on Friday night. It's so fun to have everyone together.

Christmas at the cabin

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. We missed Jessie and Jason. (they went to Arizona to be with Jason's family) We do a sub for Santa each year in Fairview. We have to snowmobile out Christmas eve and it is always so cold. This is one of our favorite traditions, but this year it just didn't work out. We try many times to get a hold of the Bishop that we have worked with in the past but were not able. We prayed about it and felt that there were other needs in our own community. We were sad because we love the adventure leaving our warm cabin, getting on the snowmobiles and heading to town. We drop the gifts on the front porch, knock on the door then and run and hide.

Merrill family party.

Cami made this wonderful treat.
Hyrum, Courtany, Tyson.
Cami

Courtany, Hyrum, Lacy and Rylie. We had a family party Sunday Dec. 21. Jessie and Jason had already left for Arizona. We missed them. We had a great dinner and play the white elephant game. We were lucky to have Cami, Dallen and Carter come from SLC. Cami is my neice. We don't see her much but we sure do love her.

Our Christmas card

I was so excited to send our card this year. I LOVE Christmas cards. I love to get them and I love to send them. Jessie and I designed these. It was a lot of fun. It is a two-fold three-panel. It took about 5 days for them to photo copy. And a day to fold them, put them in envelopes, then put the labels on them. A lot of work, but worth it. I hope you enjoyed it. If you are not on our mailing list, let me know and I will send one next year. Merry Christmas. Love the Elders!

Elder family Christmas party

Rylie doesn't want her picture taken
Stacy and Geoff
Carlie, Jessie and Jason
Jessie and Jason are going to Arizona for Christmas. We will miss them. So we had a party so that the kids could exchange gifts. ( we usually do this Christmas eve.) We got our food from Shoots, Jessie read the book to us "A Christmas Dress for Ellen." By: Thomas S. Monson, then we opened gifts and play a game. Carlie didn't feel to great because of her wisdom teeth, so she only came for the gift exchange and game. It was a good time. I am so blessed to have such a great family! I love my children so much. I will miss Jessie at the cabin, she is a great help to me and her and Jason are a lot of fun.

Carlie got her wisdom teeth out today

Carlie was very brave. We went in at 7:20 and were done by 8:30. She is now sleeping. She had to take pictures of her arm on her phone to send to all her friends. The first thing she asked for when she woke up was her phone. She was texting with in minutes. The nurse said if you are awake enough to text then you are ready to go home.

Burnt popcorn!

Last night Scott and I came home from our ward party and we were going to watch a movie and have popcorn. Scott made the popcorn in the microwave. He burnt it. When he took it out it looked cool with the smoke coming out of the bag. So I wanted to take a picture. When I got the camera the smoke had slowed down so he thought he would open the bag. Bad idea. Have you ever smelled burnt popcorn? YUCK! Now my whole house smells -- even the down stairs. I am burning candles and oils to get rid of the smell.

I got half a couch!

Half a couch.

After being in our home a few months we realized that our couch was not big enough for our family to gather on together. It was way cute but small. So Scott let me order a new one, and put the other one in our room. ( It is so cute in our room I love it) So I did. We order a sectional. But the manufacture messed up, and we only got half a couch. So Sad. I guess I have to wait another eight weeks. So that is half my couch. But don't you love the accessories! Four Chairs is the best!! Come see.
