Happy birthday Jessie. What a great blessing you are to us. You are a good friend to all. You are gifted and very talented. You have a love of the Lord and have always wanted to do good and be good. You serve your family and husband well. Even though you were two weeks late from your due date, you were worth the wait. We all love you tons!

Happy 24th

We are heading up to our cabin for the 24th (Pioneer day). We have a family tradition to spend the 24th with family at the cabin. We will miss Geoff , (He is gone doing summer sales).Our cabin in near Fairview, and Fairview calibrates the 24th in a big way. So happy Pioneer day to you and your family. I will post pictures when we get back.

American Idol Concert!

We went to the American Idol Concert. We had a great time. Jessie was the one behind this and got the tickets. Scott and Jason were not that excited. Being the good sports that they are they came with us. We went to dinner at Olive Garden, then to the concert. It was a blast. Lynette, Dave and Hailey came with us.

OHS Cheerleader

Carlie tried out today for OHS Cheerleader. Her older sister Jessie was very excited to help. Jessie cheered for OHS for three years. She was varsity head her senior year. She loved it. Carlie loved going to the games and watching Jessie cheer. Carlie made JV cheer. How are we going to do this and still go to Liahona? We don't know, but we hope that it all works out.

Jessie is an amazing photographer! She can do anything. She does weddings, newborns, families, friends, children, engagements, bridals, you name it she can do it. She has an eye for it and is very creative. Check out her Web site Here.

Bruschetta

8 to 10 cups tomatoes, cubed
1/2 cup of toasted pine nuts
olive oil to coat
5 to 6 minced garlic cloves
2 Tab. cut fresh basil leaves
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 to 34 grated Parmesan cheese

Mix, olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic in a bowl. Cut tomatoes and place them in a sieve to drain the liquid, then add the oil to mixture. Fold in pine nuts and basil at the end. Serve on garlic toast rounds.

Garlic Toast

1/2 cup butter softened
1 cup Parmesan cheese
1 minced garlic clove
Mix ingredients and spread on cut toast rounds. Broil on foiled baking sheet until golden. Serve with and Italian food such as Bruschetta.

We had a wonderful time at the Stadium of Fire. The Blue Man Group was amazing! I would love to see them again in a smaller setting. The most fun was watching ALL my girls rock out to Miley! We really enjoyed her. My girls could not get enough! It was a great year at the Stadium. We had great seats. It was a blasts. Thank you Scott for getting us tickets. It was a night to remember!

Pool Party on the 4th

We had a pool party with just our family and a few friends on the 4th. We BBQ and had good food. Jessie made yummy treats. We had a good time. The weather was a little overcast but no rain.

Happy 4th!

Happy Fourth to everyone and God Bless the USA! We are celebrating the fourth with our family in the back yard a swim party , BBQ, and the Stadium of Fire with Miley Cyrus! I don't really love the Stadium of Fire. But we thought it would be fun this year. Jessie and Rylie are very excited about going. We usually have a BBQ with our old neighbor and do a cul-da-sac of fire. We are really going to miss that, it is a lot of fun! There is always next year.

Freedom Awards Gala.

Scott and I went to the Freedom Awards Gala tonight. We have never gone before. It was a wonderful event. I had read the book by Immcul'ee Ilibagiza "Left to Tell." She received one of the Freedom Awards. This is a life changing book that I recommend it to everyone. She has a quote in her book that I love, " When we are no longer able to change a situation-we are challended to change ourselves." This is a great book on Faith and Forgiveness. I love this book!
