Halloween Warning....

Rylie is my last child in school. Her and Lydia were nerds. I can't believe Rylie is getting this old and I can't believe I am getting this old. She is so much fun. 

Here is a great recipe for Black Licorice Caramels 

1 can sweetened condensed milk

2 C sugar

1 1/2 cup light Karo syrup

1 cup butter

1/4 tsp. salt

1 tsp. salt 

1 tsp. anise oil

3/4 tsp. black paste food color

Mix everything but the oil and color in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil.

Cook and stir until firm ball stage until 236-238

Add anise oil and black coloring. Pour into buttered glass dish. Let cool,

then wrap in caramel wrappers.

I love babysitting Norah

Every Monday and Wednesday we get to babysit Norah. Jessie coaches cheer for Liahona. She is so special and we love having her in our home. Geoff and Scott love to help. Scott wants to be called Granddaddy because Jessie always called him daddy. We love Norah so much.

We have crepes for breakfast and have the birthday persons friends over. Well this time we had them come after school. Guess what they stayed all day!! It was fun and I am grateful that Rylie has such good friends.

She was so excited to get her license! She drove herself to school. She doesn't go just down the street. Her school is a 15 min drive. I was a little scared and sad to see her pull out of the driveway. With her driving herself to school I have no more car pools. (She is my baby) More time for me to get the stuff done that I need to. I will miss our drive to school together. We would talk a lot and sometimes listen to talks on tape. It was fun. Rylie is a great driver!!

Isn't she so cute. She had the wildest hair when she was a baby. We use to call her Tina Turner. Rylie has always been the most kid person. She is the peace maker in our home. When she was little when she was tired she would just go to bed without telling us. She is a sweet girl. We all really enjoy Rylie. Happy 16th. Sweet 16 and never been kiss. Lets keep it that way!!!!

Rylie and Lydia have been great friend forever!! They were next door neighbors when they were newborns until me moved to our new home three years ago. They still love each other and are the best of friends.  Having a good friend that you can count on is a true blessing. Lydia we love you!!!

Stacy throw Geoff this surprise party. A lot of Geoff's friends came. It was at Doug and Sue's home. Yummy treats. Geoff said that he was surprised. Stacy worked hard and everyone had a great time. Thanks Stacy for doing this and making Geoff's birthday special.

Cabin and October General Conference/ New stain on the cabin.

Heading to the cabin tomorrow for Conference. Two weeks ago when I was at the cabin it was beautiful. I begin to pray for great weather for General Conference this weekend. Looks like I am going to get it. Not always do we make it to the cabin for Oct. Conference because of the weather. The boys sometimes have a hard time getting to the priesthood mtg if the weather is bad. No problem this time. I love General Conference, the cabin and my family. I can't wait to hear the word of the Lord through his Prophet. I have such a testimony of this Gospel and my Savior Jesus Christ.

We just re stained the cabin. What do you think? Scott is loving it. I think it looks great. Thanks to Scott for always taking care of us and our things.
