Happy Mother's Day Mom!

I am the cute blond sitting on my Dad's lap.

Motherhood is the greatest potential influence ether of good or ill in human life. She who paints a masterpiece or writes a book that will influence millions deserves the admiration of mankind; but she who rears successfully a family of healthy, beautiful sons and daughters, whose influence will be felt throughout generations to come...deserves the highest honor that a man can give, and the choicest blessings of God. -President David O. Mckay

I want to pay a tribute to my Mother. She loved her calling as a mother. She raised six wonderful children all who are active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and were married in the LDS Temple. All my bothers and sisters are the best example to me. They love the Lord and serve him. Our family is not without trials and hardship but we will endure with faith. We were taught to love the Lord and turn to him and trust him. Thank you mom for being my mother. I can't wait to have you hold me in your arms again. I miss you. I want my children to have the blessings that I have because I of a mother's love.

Happy Mother's day to all you mothers out there!!

Kids say the funniest things!

My cute Geoffrey
My cute Jessie

When my kids were little I would take them to Wheeler Farm in SLC. We would milk the cows, feed the ducks, go on hay rides and have a picnic. This was always so fun for us. Well this one time when we went and the kids milked the cows. When we got home that night we were at the dinner table and Geoff said to his dad "Dad have you ever squeezed pee out of a cow"? How funny is that Geoff thought that he was helping the cow go to the bathroom. He didn't know he was getting milk out of the cow.

Happy Birthday! To Me!

Jessie, Jason, Rylie and Carlie gave me this Scentsy. I love it. Always wanted one. I think so far my favorite Scent is Cucumber Lime. I also like Wasabi ginger. If you have one and have a scent that you love let me know. Thanks Jessie for taking charge and making this happened. I love it!

A late happy birthday to my love.

Brick Oven chocolate cake. ( I call it lard cake yuck)
The happy birthday song.
Blocks from Granny
Muddy
Scott's birthday was April 21. I thought what would Scott like to do on his birthday? Go to the cabin! He loves it there and we call it "Dad's favorite place". So we went just him and I. Dumb idea. It is so muddy and still has snow. We got stuck. What help am I? None! I felt so bad. Here it is his birthday and we are stuck. So he has to get us unstuck by himself. Sweating, muddy, and miserable. Happy Birthday Scott. Bummer. Note to self. Don't go to the cabin in April.

The blocks from Granny are to replace some that got burned when he was young. Long story and one that is told as a teaching moment to our children. Thank you Granny.

Brick oven is usually where we go for family birthdays. I do not like the Chocolate cake but Jessie, Carlie and Scott do.

Happy Birthday Scott, the love of my life. You make me so happy! I hope you know how blessed I feel to have you for my eternal companion.

Obsessed with sewing!

I made this skirt. It fits so well and it is so fun to wear. I call it my"happy skirt". It is another Lila Tueller pattern and also her fabric. I have a few things made from Lila's fabric and patterns. It was so fun to make and can't wait for my next project.

It's Not the Dress It's the Girl in the Dress. GREAT TALK ON CD!

I got this CD for Rylie for Easter. I listen to it the other day. Loved it! She does a great job of deliver her message and giving you a good laugh. I love this one quote she has " The chef cause of failure and unhappiness is trading what you want most for what you want at the moment." Great CD for teenagers and young adults. Helps to prepare us for peer pressure and how to stand our ground. GOOD ONE!!!

Elizabeth Craig knows what peer pressure is. In this fireside presentation given especially for LDS young women, she shares her unique experiences competing in the Miss America Pageant and what she had to do in order to stand up for what she believed in as a member of the Church. She also talks about LDS Church standards and why we have them. In particular, young women’s testimonies will be strengthened as Elizabeth shares stories and lessons about the importance of modesty, the Word of Wisdom, and always standing as a witness of God. Elizabeth says, “If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.”

After listening to this audio talk, one young woman said, “Elizabeth Craig helps girls know that every girl has potential and power in this world no matter how you look. And her stories are hilarious and fun to listen to. I loved it.”

Lucky I'm in love with my best friend!

I love this song by Jason Mraz it is exactly how I feel about my relationship with Scott. I am glad we are growing old together.

Boy I hear you in my dreams
I feel your whisper across the sea
I keep you with me in my heart
You make it easier when life gets hard

Lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Ohhhohhhohhhohhohhohhhohh

They don't know how long it takes
Waiting for a love like this
Every time we say goodbye
I wish we had one more kiss
I'll wait for you, I promise you I will

Lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Lucky we're in love in every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday
