We had a great time at Stacy's shower. Thanks to Stacy's family. Stacy is very lucky to have such a great family and a lot of fun cousins. The food was great. Leslee is a good friend of mine and one of my YW. She dated Stacy's brother Cory and Stacy's family loves her. Stacy's cousin Hailey come over the morning of the shower and interviewed Geoff. It was fun to hear the answers. Geoff loves Stacy's eyes and Stacy loves Geoff's smile. Geoff likes about Stacy is that she is crafty, she plans for the future, and that she likes to make list of things to do and mark them off. Stacy likes that Geoff is friendly, kind and out going, and that he is a hard worker. Geoff and Stacy are the perfect couple. They will do great things.

We went out to eat at Malawi's Pizza. For every meal they sell they will donate a nutritious meat to an orphans in Malawi Africa. The food is great. They are very vegetarian friendly. Carlie and Rylie were there but the picture I took doesn't turn out. I love being with my family. We have such a great time together.

Yesterday was an amazing day. Geoff received his Patriarchal blessing and received the Melchizedek priesthood. It was a wonderful day for us and the Helstens. Much could be said about this day. I am over joyed and have felt the love of the Lord for Geoff. I am grateful. Many tries of joy were shed. Testimony were shared and we all felt love for the Gospel, for each other and for our Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you to family and friends for all your love and support.

Gratitude the path to happiness.
Gratitude is a divine principle of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
"Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it"

"Reenactment of the Historical Hukilau"
I got forced to get up and do the Hukiliu dance. It was fun once I got up.
Great fire dancer only 10 yrs old.
Scott and I with the little Hukilau dancers.
Underground roasted pig. Yummy for me not for Scott.
One fish caught at the Hukilau.
Sick!!!
Scott helping with the Hukilau
Just before dinner.
A hukilau is a way of fishing invented by the ancient Hawaiians. The word comes from huki, meaning pull, and lau, meaning leaves. A large number of people, usually family and friends, would work together in casting the net from shore and then pulling it back. The net was lined with ki leaves, which would help scare the fish into the center of the net. A Hawaiian phrase for a party on the beach. It's like saying "barbecue" to a Texan.
We had a great time and the food was so good!!

VIP Tour of the Laie Hawaii Temple open house
I felt so blessed to be able to go to the Laie Hawaii Temple today. I hope everyone knows how I feel about Temples. I LOVE the temple and I felt excited for the saints here in Hawaii. About 10 years ago I went to the Laie Hawaii Temple and did some work there. Wow what a great job they did in the renovation of this temple. It is beautiful. The Lord loves his children where ever we live. Temple work is a love of mine. I have been so blessed because of the temple. The spirit is strong in the temple.
