Rylie and Liahona homecoming.

Rylie said yes to "Sammy boy" With these balloons. She had them delivered to his first period class and then the friends that delivered them, made him wear them the whole day at school or the answer would be no.
She looks beautiful!!

Liahona does not have a football team. So Liahona has their homecoming during basket ball season.
The dress she is wearing Jessie wore on a cruise. I cut it short and took the sleeves off that Jessie added on, and put different sleeves on. I think Rylie just wanted to get Gold sparkle Toms. Thats why she picked this dress. It was a masquerade ball.

Barbecued Chicken Breast with Spicy Peach Glaze

We had the Kerns over for dinner yesterday (Lynette and I were missionary companions) This is what we grilled.

1 cup peach preserves or jam
1 large cloves garlic, minced (1 teaspoon)
2 Tablesspoons olive oil
1 Tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 Tablespoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon cayeene pepper
1 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
4 chicken breasts (about 5 pounds), split
4 ripe peaches, cut in half and pitted

1. Pre heat grill to medium hot. In a medium mixing bowl, combine preserves, garlic, olive oil, soy sauce, dry mustard, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper, and mix well to combine.

2. Sprinkle chicken breast with additional salt and pepper, and place, skin side down, (I do skinless) on the grill. Cook the chicken about 10 minutes one each side before brushing the upturned side with glaze. Continue cooking chicken for another 10 to 12 minutes, turning it every 3 to 5 minutes and brusing each
upturned side with glaze every time, until the chicken is cooked through. Move chicken to the oven or a cooler part of grill if it gets too dark before it is cooked through.

3. Place peach halves on the grill, cut side down, and grill 2 minutes. Turn, and brush the tops with glaze. Grill 3 to 4 minutes, more until the peaches are soft and the cavities fill wiht juices. Transger the cooked chicken and peaches to a serving platter. Serves 8 Enjoy!!

We made this last summer for the first time. Sooooooo yummy. We didn't do the peaches because it not the season. But trust me you are going to want to try the peaches in the summer. They are amazing!!

Brandt's and Kaylee's wedding

Brandt and his missionary companions and Geoff
Kaylee had to be so cold. It was about 23degrees and she had cap sleeves. Mom's always want to take care of their kids. Karen trying to keep Kaylee warm.

It was great to be in the temple with Brandt and Kaylee. Geoff, Stacy and I were at the temple with them. Brandt and Geoff have been great friends. We at the Elder home love Brandt. He would come visit even if Geoff was gone for summer sales. He and his family have been great friends to Geoff. We love Brandt and Kaylee and wish them the best.
